Can I get cleared checks returned to me?
You can log into our Online Banking system and view all transaction details, including cleared checks. To request a paper copy of a cleared check you can call our Customer Service Customer Care Center at 1-800-738-2265.

Are First American Bank and Trust accounts FDIC-insured?
Yes. As of October 3, 2008 there will be an immediate (and temporary) effect on FDIC insurance coverage. Deposits are insured up to $250,000 (previously $100,000) for insurable accounts and Retirement accounts are insured for up to $250,000 as well. Visit the FDIC online at http://www.fdic.gov for more information.

When is the Customer Service Customer Care Center open?
Monday – Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 530 PM, our Customer Service Customer Care Center Representatives are available to receive your calls. 24/7 you can log-in to Online Banking or call our FirstLine system for account balances or transactions.

How do I change my address?
Online Banking customers can log on and click on User Services and change their address of their Online accounts.

How do I change my legal name on my accounts?
Bring an original or certified copy of a marriage license or court-order document to your nearest First American Bank and Trust branch.

How do I add another account holder to my account?
Visit a First American Bank and Trust branch to add another person as a signer on your account. The added person must provide a signature to provide a signed authorization on the account.

When are funds available after a deposit?
Please review the Disclosures Statements you received when your account was opened. Call our Customer Service Customer Care Center at 1-800-738-2265 to verify the availability of a deposit.

Go to your nearest First American Bank and Trust and complete a wire transfer form. Our Customer Service Representative will prepare the transfer for you. You will need the routing number, account number, and name of person or business receiving the funds.

Once you give your information to the person or business wiring funds to you, you will be credited the funds when we receive all correct information from the sender.

If I’m not a U.S. citizen, can I open an account with your bank?
Yes. Call our Customer Service Customer Care Center ahead of time to obtain information on the required documentation you will need to open an account. You will also need to fill out a W-8 when opening an account.

When does First American Bank and Trust mail my 1099 form?
First American Bank and Trust mail 1099 forms by January 31st of each year.

Can I get an ATM/Debit card with my First American Bank and Trust account?
Yes! Checking account customers can request a First American Bank and Trust MasterCard® ATM/Debit card. Your card can be used at ATMs, and at any merchant who accepts Debit MasterCard® cards.

Existing checking account holders can come into any branch and fill out a Debit Card Enrollment Form requesting a new card.

How long does it take to receive an ATM/Debit card in the mail?
You will receive your new or replacement ATM/Debit card in the mail within 10 business days after requesting one.

What if there are two or more signers on my checking account?
Separate ATM/Debit cards will be issued, each with a different card number and separate PINs.

Can I change the PIN for my ATM/Debit card?
Yes. You can change your PIN at any branch ATM, or by calling 1-866-985-2273.

What should I do if I forget my ATM/Debit card PIN?
Call our Customer Service Customer Care Center at 1-800-738-2265. After we verify your information, our Customer Service Representative will issue a temp PIN. You can then change it at any branch ATM, or by calling 1-866-985-2273.

Should I press “Debit” or “Credit” when using the First American Bank and Trust ATM/Debit card?
You should always press “CREDIT” at any merchant that accepts our MasterCard® Debit card. On a signature-based (non-PIN) purchase, you are covered by our Zero Liability Protection. Use your PIN when you wish to receive cash back.

What are the fees to use an ATM?
You can use your First American Bank and Trust ATM/Debit MasterCard® card at any First American Bank and Trust Branch ATM for FREE!

Using an ATM other than a First American Bank and Trust ATM will result in a charge of $1.50 by First American Bank and Trust plus any surcharge assessed by the ATM owner.

What is the daily withdrawal limit on my ATM/Debit card?
You can withdraw up to $600.00 cash per day with your First American Bank and Trust ATM/Debit MasterCard® card.

What are the daily withdrawal and purchase limits on my ATM/Debit card?
You can withdraw up to $600.00 in cash per day, and signed purchases can be up to $2500.00 per day with your ATM/Debit card.

What should I do if my ATM/Debit card is lost or stolen?
Call our Customer Service Customer Care Center at 1-800-738-2265 during business hours of Monday – Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 530 PM. Call anytime 1-800-523-4175.

Will all ATMs accept a deposit into my First American Bank and Trust account?
No. You must deposit funds at any of our branch Lobby, Drive-Up, or night drop.

How do I switch back to paper statements?
