To all of our customers,

We are happy to let you know that the lobbies of First American Bank and Trust will re-open on Monday, May 18, 2020. During this first phase of reopening, the safety of our employees and customers is a priority; thus the following guidelines will apply:

  1. The doors will remain locked and attended by a Bank employee.
  2. Only First American Bank customers will be allowed in the lobby. Non-customers will be asked to continue using the Drive-up.
  3. A maximum of three (3) customers will be allowed at a time. Please be patient between customers in order for us to properly sanitize our lobby for extra protection.
  4. Face coverings are allowed; however, you may be asked to remove it to be properly identified by the Bank employee attending the door. If you are not known or recognized by the attending Bank employee, you will be required to remove your face coverings and provide your ID through the glass door. If you do not feel comfortable removing your face covering, we ask that you please use the drive-up.
  5. Once inside the lobby, we recommend that you use the hand sanitizer that will be provided at the entrance.
  6. As you proceed to the teller line, please utilize the floor decals to maintain proper social distancing.

Please know that your safety and security are our top priorities. Our employees will be wearing face coverings for your protection. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this phase.

COVID-19 update. March 22, 2020

First American Bank and Trust will remain open. Banking is an essential service as set out in Governor Edwards’ Stay at Home Order and First American Bank and Trust will continue to operate during the entirety of the Stay at Home Order.

During the duration of this order, we will continue to operate all locations as Drive-up only for the protection of our customers and our employees. If you need to enter the lobby to conduct certain business such as access to your safe deposit box, you can do so by making an appointment. Please call 800-738-2265 to set up an appointment.

For those customers who need financial assistance with loan deferrals, please call your loan officer. We have set up programs to assist you in your time of need.

In keeping with our duty to provide our customers with the highest level of service, we’d like to share with you what we’re doing to help keep you safe and connected during a time of uncertainty.

We want you to have confidence that you can bank anywhere, anytime with the First American Bank and Trust Mobile app and fabt.com at your convenience. From there you can transfer money, pay bills, check balances, find an ATM, and more.

Following local and state governmental guidance, we plan to offer branch services through our drive thru facilities.

Please consider the following in the event you have concerns or doubts in regards to the banking industry, specifically First American Bank:

  • The FDIC insurable limit is $250,000. Please visit edie.fdic.gov for more information.
  • COVID-19 does not affect our computer systems. Critical infrastructure such as ACH, point of sale/debit cards, and ATM networks remains fully operational
  • Large cash withdrawals are not only unsafe, but may also be unsanitary; during these times electronic transactions will be more commonly accepted than in-person cash transactions.
